About Renee

In my work, I focus on User Experience (UX), where the user’s needs, behaviors, and goals drive every design decision. UX is the foundation, whether I’m crafting something new, improving an existing product, or conducting a quality assurance audit. It impacts everything—from layout and navigation to usability and SEO—ultimately shaping how people connect with the digital world.

In what feels like a past life, I fell in love with graphic design and print materials at the age of 17. Without diving into all the details of my years of experience, here’s the nutshell version of the beginning: I learned traditional typesetting, Rapidograph drawings for forms and borders, paste-up, camera work, plate burning—and even how to run a press to bring my creations to life. And I loved every second of it. I knew from an early age that this was my path.

Fast forward to 2025, and I’ve not only survived but thrived through every major shift in the industry—from the rise of GUIs, Macs, digital production, and desktop publishing, to the dot-com boom and now the ever-evolving AI era, full of new tools to learn and explore.

Through it all, one thing has remained true: user-centered design has always been—and should always be—the driving force behind everything we create. It’s what I do, and what we as an industry strive for in every meaningful product design.

"The world is complex, and so too must be the activities that we perform. But that doesn't mean that we must live in continual frustration. No. The whole point of human-centered design is to tame complexity, to turn what would appear to be a complicated tool into one that fits the task, that is understandable, usable, enjoyable."

When I’m not in front of a computer, you’ll find me outdoors with my dog, practicing headstands, free diving, snowboarding, or taking long walks on the beach.
