You can drink your tea and wear it too! White Tea has an amazing amount of antioxidants and it is good for us from the inside out! Your skin is the largest organ of your body and it’s time you treat it as such… give it the love it deserves.

A little bit about White Tea: White Tea leaves are picked early in the season when the buds are fresh and tender, then the leaves are gently dried. White tea undergoes the least processing – the leaves are simply withered and dried. This method maintains higher levels of antioxidants, polyphenols, and vitamins, while also yielding much less caffeine than the other tea varieties.

Making a poultice or compress of White Tea to use as a mask and your skin will thank you! For more on what a poultice or compress is you can refer to my DIY – Herbal Mask Posting. When making a White Tea poultice/mask I like to use honey, I suppose because most people drink tea with honey, why not in your mask too! Also honey will add more punch to this mask, it will up the benefits and antioxidant power even more. My favorite honey to use on the face is Manuka Honey, but any honey will do. If I don’t use Manuka I at least go for local, raw and organic if possible.

If you don’t have any honey on hand, but still want to make a White Tea mask then you can use just water, the tea is amazing either way.

Benefits of honey on your skin: Honey is full of antioxidants, it cleanses, nourishes, hydrates and leaves skin smooth and glowing.

A little bit about Manuka Honey: Manuka honey, produced in New Zealand by bees that pollinate the Manuka bush, is one of the most unique and beneficial forms of honey in the world. There are many Manuka honey uses that range from healing sore throats, eczema, acne and digestive illnesses, to curing Staph infections and gingivitis. What makes Manuka honey different is its amazing nutritional profile. Regular raw honey is already known for its tremendous nutritional and immune boosting abilities. Yet with Manuka honey, the nutritional content is up to 4 times that of normal flower honeys. -Dr Axe for the whole article go to https://draxe.com/manuka-honey-benefits-uses/.

While we are at it, I might as well mention I also added Lavender flowers to mine. This gives it an amazing scent which helps make this process relaxing and adds to the anti-bacterial and healing components. It is not necessary to add the flowers, but I happen to have some on hand and went for it. White Tea and Honey alone will be an amazing mask though.

I have made this mask (for sale contact me). Below I offer instructions to use it as a poultice or a compress.

How to do this mask compress style (see my DIY – Herbal Mask for more information).

White Tea, Honey and Lavender serves all skin types from acne to aging. Either situation is about stress to the skin, whether the skin is stressed from bacterial influences, hormones or the effects of aging or environment… this combination will calm the skin and rejuvenate from within. Often stress is the cause of most break-outs or aging… so calming the skin is needed by ALL.
